The 2020 edition of the Children’s Contest at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus takes place today.
The 18th edition of the Children’s Contest at Slavianski Bazaar takes place today in Belarus. The competition which has been a launching point for a number of young performers careers, will see a total of seventeen young singers take to the stage in Vitebsk.
The performers from Canada to Kazakhstan will perform twice during the course of today. In the first contest they will be performing a national song i.e. a song either in the language or by a composer from their home country. In the second show they will perform a pop song which best reflects their performing skills and artistic abilities.

The competition will be broadcast live on Belarus 3 and can be watched online here. The winner of the competition will be chosen entirely by jury voting, the jury for the Children’s Music Contest is formed of:

History of the Contest
The Children’s Contest was first held in 2003 and has been a launching point for a number of young performers. Singers who have taken part in the contest have gone on to represent their country at Junior Eurovision include; Ksenia Sitnik, Andrey Kunets, Luara Hayrapetyan, Anastasiya Baginska.
