Belarus’ Angelina Lomako has been named the winner of the 2020 edition of the Children’s Contest at Slavianski Bazaar.
Belarus has won for a record fifth time in the Children’s Contest at Slavianski Bazaar with Angelina Lomako beating off competition from sixteen other young singers from across the globe. Angelina received her prize of $5,000 earlier this afternoon. This is the second year in a row that Belarus has won the competition.
The full results were as follows:
- Grand Prix – Angelina Lomako (Belarus)
- First Place – Kristupas Kerulis (Lithuania)
- Second Place – Zhasmin Tleumbetov (Kazakhstan) & Vladmir Serkov (Russia)
- Third Place – Bogdana-Bianca Visterniceanu (Moldova) & Anastasiia Matryniuk (Ukraine)
The winner was chosen by a jury formed of:
- Belarus – Alexander Solodukha – Singer, Honoured Artist of Belarus
- Bulgaria – Jordan Slavejkov – Theatre Director, Playwright
- Kazakhstan – Adilkhan Makin – Winner of the International Pop Song Performers Contest in 2019
- Lithuania – Birute Petrikyte – Singer, Producer
- Moldova – Cristina Scarlat – Singer, Represented Moldova at Eurovision 2014
- Russia – Varvara – Singer, Honoured Artist of Russia
- Ukraine – Vlad Sytnik – Winner of the International Pop Song Performers Contest in 2017
All of the acts in this years contest performed two songs for the jury. The first a song in their own native language and a second which highlighted their vocal and performing abilities.
