The participating songs are announced

The ABU has selected the 14 songs that will be participating in this years ABU Radio Song Festival in Beijing, China.

A total of 17 songs were submitted to participate in this years event with 14 being selected by a jury at the ABU to take to the stage in Beijing. The 14 songs that have made it through to the event on April 27 are:

  • China – China Broadcasting Chidren’s Chorus – Singing in the Drizzling Rain
  • China – Wang Yi, Zhang Yingying, Ren Yanmin, Zhenmin, Hua Shukai – Youth Never Ends
  • India – Thokchom Lansana Chanu – Creation
  • Indonesia – Novri Batteny – Diantara Kita
  • Macau – Josie Ho – Who I Am
  • Maldives – Bathool Ahmed – Unikan
  • Myanmar – Eastern & Phoe Pyae – New Fangled Harmony
  • Nepal – Suman Gurung – Aaja Mero Man Ma
  • Romania – Analia Vicotria Selis – Viento Del Sur
  • Singapore – Ling Kai – Year, Month, Day
  • South Korea – Seungjin Han – Little Wings
  • Thailand – Nawapol Roadsomjit (Ome) – Take On This World
  • Turkmenistan – Atajan Berdiyev – Folk Song
  • Vietnam – Phan Thi Thu Lan – Good news bring by the bird

Out of the festival are:

  • India – Vince Costa – Home Before Christmas
  • Indonesia – Debora Febricia Romauli – Mati Rasi
  • Maldives – Abdulla Ziyau – Eid Uufa

The news also means that the following countries who participated last year will not be taking to the stage again this year, they are; Brunei, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
