The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union TV Song Festival is a non-competitive showcase event held between the members of the ABU. The event was first held in 2012 in South Korea and since then over 20 countries have taken to the stage of the competition. The event was inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest, with the long-term aim of the event to promote the music and cultures of the Asia-Pacific region. There are no rules regarding when a song must have been released before, or that the song being performed has to be sung by the original singer.
