Baltic Song Contest’16: Participants Announced

The 10 artists from nine countries across Europe participating in the Baltic Song Contest 2016 have been announced by the organisers.

Among the participants is the 2012 Estonian Eurovision entrant Ott Lepland, furthermore two past Eurovision national selection hopefuls will be taking to the stage. The Baltic Song Contest has been held annually in Karlshamn since 1978, among the winners are Peter Jobak, Brainstorm and Ich Troje. This years contest is held across two days on July 21 and 22, with all of the participants performing two songs.

The 10 singers competing this year are:

  • Croatia – Antonela Doko – Ta ljubav & Onaj Dan
  • Estonia – Ott Lepland – Kuula & Invincible
  • Latvia – Markus Riva – Take Me Down & I Can
  • Moldova – Doinita Gherman – Irresistible & Hora pe toloacã
  • Norway – Adam Douglas – I once was a honest guy & Steal the show
  • Poland – Ania Dabrowska – Nieprawda & W glowie
  • Romania – Klyde – Ama & All your love
  • Spain – Maika Barbero – The Reason & Under Your Own Rules
  • Sweden – Josefine Wassler – Higher & En endaste sekund
  • Sweden - Petra KvännÃ¥ – The Blues and I & Shine!
