Hayat TV has confirmed to Eurovoix-World.com that they have yet to decide on their participation in the Turkvizyon Song Contest 2016.
Bosnia & Herzegovina who has participated in all three Turkvizyon Song Contests to date has yet to decide on whether they will compete in this years contest. The country is one of 24 countries and regions who participated in the first edition of the Turkvizyon Song Contest in 2013, and was the first country to reveal their participants for the contest.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s best result in the contest came at the first come in 2013, where Emir & Frozen Camels finished 6th in the final scoring 187 points. Last year in Istanbul, Bosnia & Herzegovina finished in 12th place in the final with a total of 153 points, this is the countries worst result to date in the contest.
To date the following countries and regions have confirmed their participation in Turkvizyon 2016 to Eurovoix.com:
- Crimea (Russian Federation)
- Khakassia (Russian Federation)
- Sandzak (Serbia)
It is thought that a number of Russian regions will be returning to this years contest, however broadcasters and delegations from these regions have not publicly or officially stated their intent to participate.

The Turkvizyon Song Contest was first held in 2013 in the Turkish city of Eskisehir. The contest which is open to Turkic nations and regions such as Turkey, Kazakhstan and Yakutia. The contest follows a similar format to the Eurovision Song Contest, with songs limited to being 4 minutes long. To date Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have won the contest.
