The final of the Turkvizyon Song Contest selection process in Gagauzia, Can Dalgasinda will be held on October 9 in Comrat.
Peter Petkovic the Head of Delegation for Gagauzia at the Turkvizyon Song Contest has confirmed that the final of the regions selection will be held on October 9. The selection will be held over two days on October 8 and October 9.
The singers competing in the selection are aged 18 and above, and will be performing a pop song in the Gagauz language for 3 to 4 minutes. The winner of the selection will be decided by a jury who will be assessing the vocal capacity of the singers.
The winner of the selection will go on to represent Gagauzia at Turkvizyon 2016. The song they will perform will be internally selected, with it being written in the month and a half between the selection and the Turkvizyon Song Contest.
To date two of the finalists have been revealed to the public, they are:
- Dimtriy Jelezoglu (Dima Zhelegozlo) â€“ Dmitry has been singing since he was a young teenager and has experience having performed internationally including Kazakhstan. His most recent song â€œSeni sevardimâ€ has had significant success on the radio in Gagauzia.
- Mihail Telpiz â€“ Mihail is from Ceadir-Lunga and has recently graduated from studying at theÂ State Agricultural University of Moldova, he is not a well-known performer within Gagauzia.

The Turkvizyon Song Contest was first held in 2013 in the Turkish city of Eskisehir. The contest which is open to Turkic nations and regions such as Turkey, Kazakhstan and Yakutia. The contest follows a similar format to the Eurovision Song Contest, with songs limited to being 4 minutes long. To date Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have won the contest.
