Italy are for the first time going to hold a national selection to select their participant in Slavianski Bazaar 2017.

In March, Italy will hold their first national selection to select the country’s participant in Slavianski Bazaar. The selection will be organised by Michele Poma who is a musician and producer as well as the Head of an Italian cultural organisation.

Italy has participated in Slavianski Bazaar for over a decade now and has had three top four finishes. The countries best result came in 2016 when Eleanor Vecchio finished joint third with the Moldovan participate. The country has also participated in the children’s contest but has failed to win the contest so far.

To date the following countries have confirmed their participation in this years contest:

  • Belarus
  • Estonia
  • Italy
  • Moldova
  • Romania
