Ayym Uzakbayeva has been selected to represent the region of Aktobe in Kazakhstan’s Bala Turkvizyon selection process.
12 year old Ayym is from the town of Shalkar, and has been singing since the age of three. She plays piano, enjoys modern and folk music, and in her spare time loves to draw, dance and shoot videos for her online blog. On being selected to represent her region, Ayym said:
I have no words! I’m so glad I won today! But my main words are now all the guys who today participated in the competition. I wish them to follow a dream and definitely win next year!
Auditions in Kazakhstan will continue in Oral on July 27th & 28th.

The Bala Turkvizyon Song Contest was first held in 2015. The contest is the children’s version of the Turkvizyon Song Contest. Participants in the contest must be aged between 8 and 15 and perform their song in a Turkic language. The winner of the contest is decided by a jury made up one person representing each competing country. The winner of the first contest were Azerbaijan who were represented by Nuray & Ahmed and the song “Cocukluk Yillari”.
