KTRK the national broadcaster of Kyrgyzstan has informed Eurovoix World that they want to participate in the Bala Turkvizyon Song Contest 2016.
Kyrgyzstan who finished 4th in last years Bala Turkvizyon Song Contest, has stated that they want to participate again in this years contest. As with the delegations from Khakassia, Kumyk and Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan states that they are awaiting further information from the contest organisers regarding this years contest.
In 2015 Kyrgyzstan was one of three countries to hold a televised selection process to select their Bala Turkvizyon entrant. The country was represented by Aydin Nurdinov with the song “Kyrgyz Biy” which finished 4th in the final with 111 points. Kyrgyzstan received the highest possible points, 10 points from Albania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Gagauzia and Ukraine.
To date four countries and regions have selected their participant for Bala Turkvizyon 2016:
- Azerbaijan – Aydan Ilxasade
- Belarus – Ruslana
- Stavropol Krai – Madina Kartakeyva
- Ukraine – Ljudmila Bazadzhi

The Bala Turkvizyon Song Contest was first held in 2015. The contest is the childrenâ€™s version of the Turkvizyon Song Contest. Participants in the contest must be aged between 8 and 15 and perform their song in a Turkic language. The winner of the contest is decided by a jury made up one person representing each competing country. The winner of the first contest were Azerbaijan who were represented by Nuray & Ahmed and the song â€œCocukluk Yillariâ€.
