Liet International 2017 is to be hosted in Kautokeino, Norway on April 13 as part of the Sami Easterfestival.
Liet International is to be held this April for the first time since 2014, the contest will be heading to Northern Norway with 10 songs competing in the competition. Liet International was launched in 2002 as a song contest for minority languages across Europe and was held annually until 2014. This years contest will mark the 11th time that the contest has been held.
The contest is being supported by the organisers of Liet International as well as Samisk musikkfestival who are the organisers of the Sami Grand Prix. Furthermore the Sami Parliament are contributing financially to the hosting of the contest. Liet International have now made a call for songs to be submitted for the competition up until January 31. Those wishing to participate must send the music and lyrics to the following address:
Already confirmed as participating in the event are the winner of Liet 2016 and the Sami Grand Prix 2016, this means the list of artists competing is as follows:

Previous regions to have competed in Liet International include; Scotland, the Faroe Islands, Brittany, Udmurtia and Sardinia.
