Danieli Schwetz has been selected to represent Moldova in the International Pop Song Performers Category of Slavianski Bazaar.
21-year-old Danieli Schwetz will be representing Moldova at Slavianski Bazaar 2017, having won last weekends Moldovan selection process. Danieli has studied Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Moscow and will represent Moldova in Belarus later this year. He is no stranger to competing in competitions, having taken part in contests in both Moldova and Romania.
Danieli has already stated his wish to represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. In the children’s competition Maria Cazarinov will be representing Moldova in Vibetsk. The rules of the selection were as follows:
- Children wishing to compete must be aged between 7 and 12 years old
- Adults must be aged between 18 and 31 years old
Moldova has been participating in the contest for over a decade now and has on five occasions finished within the top.2 of the International Pop Song Performers Contest. In 2000 Nelly Ciobanu finished second, Nadzieja Trochin finished second in 2003, Natalia Gordienko again finished second in 2006. Pasha Parfeny went on to finish second in 2009, while Vitaly Negrutsa went on again to finish in second place in 2014.
Slavianski Bazaar 2017 is being held in Vibetsk, Belarus from July 13 to July 17.
