Nauru: Nauru Now Eligible For ABU Song Festivals

Nauru Media Joins The ABU

Nauru has become the latest nation to be eligible to participate in the ABU Song Festivals for both TV and Radio.

Nauru Media was admitted as an Additional Full Member to the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the broadcasting union behind both the ABU TV Song Festival and the ABU Radio Song Festival. Nauru which is located in the Pacific Ocean is one of the world’s smallest countries being an island no bigger than 21 square-kilometer, the island itself is home to 9,500 people.

Earlier this year Radio Marshalls of the Marshall Islands also joined the ABU, the Marshall Islands are homed to 55,000 residents spread over 24 islands. The ABU now has full members from a total of 50 countries and territories.

  1. OMG!!!!. That country is very little, I don’t even know if it has got an entertainment industry. It would be interesting to see this country in the ABU TV Song Festival, but I don’t know if they will participate.
