Pelageya Stefoglo, who was previously selected to represent Moldova at Turkvision, has applied to represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Moldovan singer Pelageya Stefoglo has applied to represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The singer has teamed up with Sweden Songs, a team of songwriters and composers who have worked with singers across Europe and submitted numerous songs into national selections across the continent.
Pelageya Stefoglo had taken part in the Gagauz selection process this year but was beaten by Yulia Arnaut. She was born on June 4, 1988 and has been performing since a young age. She graduated from music school, piano. Graduate of Russian Theoretical Lyceum Chisinau (Moldova). She took an active part in various festivals such as Star of Moldova and Star of the Chisinau.
Pelageya was due to take Moldova to their Turkvision debut in 2016, before the contest was deffered and then delayed again in 2018. At the time she had received the backing of the Ministry of Culture in Moldova to take part in the Turkvision Song Contest.
