Poland: XIV International Song Festival “Rzeszow Carpathia Festival” 2018 Applications Now Open

Applications for the participation in the XIV International Song Festival Rzeszow Carpathia Festival 2018, which will be held on 26-27 May 2018 on the Main Square in Rzeszow have opened.

The festival warmly invites all singers and musical bands, who have their own songs, to send their applications. All details on how to apply to the Festival are provided in Terms and Conditions which can be found on websites www.carpathia.rzeszow.pl and www.csw.info.pl as well as on www.facebook.pl/carpathiafestival and www.facebook.pl/csw.rzeszow.

The aim of “Rzeszow Carpathia Festival” is to promote young, talented artists and to present rich musical culture of Europe and rest of the world. The main prize of the Festival is the promotion of the winner, meaning co-financing the costs of releasing a CD or co-financing the costs of a concert tour – 15,000 PLN, invitation for performing a concert during the next edition of the Festival and the statuette.

There are also other financial prizes:

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Awards
  • Award for the Best Composition
  • Award for the Best Instrumentalist
  • Award for the Best Stage Personality
  • Individual Jury Awards

“Rzeszow Carpathia Festival” has been one of the steps to success for many young artists. Festival winners include such figures as: Kasia Mos, who represented Poland during the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, Pectus, Kasia Popowska, Sarsa, Marek Ztracený (the winner of Czech Nightingale), Peter Cmorik (the winner of Slovak Golden Nightingale). Many festival participants took part in the national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest as well as represented their countries during this contest, for example: Sebastian Plewinski (Poland), Monika Linkyte (Lithuania), Ewelina Saszenko (Lithuania), Edi Ann (Poland), Nefer (Poland), Aiste Pilvelyte (Lithuania), Nicki Goldstein (Israel), Danica Muscat (Malta), Vlatko Lozanovski (Macedonia), Anna Cyzon (Poland), Neringa Siaudikyte (Lithuania), Martin Fitch (Poland) and others.
