Bogdan Ioan has been announced as the Romanian entrant for Slavianski Bazaar 2019 this June in Belarus.
Bogdan Ioan who won the latest season of Vocea României will represent Romania at Slavianski Bazaar 2019. The singer who won the eighth season of the Voice of Romania, will represent his nation in Vitebsk in the International Pop Song Performers Contest at Slavianski Bazaar. During his time on the Voice, he was known as the Michael Jackson of Romania for his covers of the late singers songs.
Romania are currently the reigning champions at Slavianski Bazaar, with Marcel Rosca having won the International Pop Song Performers Contest in 2018. Romania’s previous best result was a third place at the 2007 contest.
The nation will also be represented by Eduard-Mario Tudor in the Children’s Contest. Romania has a strong record in the children’s competition having won the competition four times. Raluca Elena Ursu was the most recent Romanian winner having won the contest in 2011.
Slavianski Bazaar 2019 will be held between the 9th and 17th of July in Belarus.
