The full list of participants in Slavianski Bazaar 2017 have been released, including two past Eurovision participants.

The singers from across the world who will be competing in the International Pop Song Performer’s Contest and the International Children’s Music Contest have been revealed. Among the participants who have been revealed are two former Eurovision participants. Nina Kraljic who represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and Nevena Bozovic who represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

Of note is that despite selecting singers for the competition no performers from Romania have been selected to take part this year. Furthermore, the Czech Republic held a selection process for the contest as well but no singers have made it through to the finals in July.

One other singer of interest among the participants in Slavianski Bazaar 2017 is Ayree from Kazakhstan. She represented Kazakhstan at the ABU TV Song Festival 2016 in Bali, Indonesia, following in the footsteps of Dimash Kudaibergen who won Slavianski Bazaar in 2015.

Slavianski Bazaar has been held annually in Vibetsk, Belarus since 1992. The event consists of two competitive contests, the International Pop Song Performers Contest for singers age 18 to 31, and the Children’s Contest for those age between 7 and 12. The competition is popular in the former Soviet Union, Baltic States and the Balkans. Winners include Ruslana, Zeljko Joksimovic, Donny Montell and Alyona Lanskaya. The Children’s Contest has been held since 2003 and former winners include singers who have gone on to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This includes former winner Ksenia Sitnik who won for Belarus in 2005.
