Last night in Vitebsk the running order draw for the International Children’s Music Contest was held, find out who will be performing when in this years contest.

At the Mayakovsky square the participants in this years International Music Contest at Slavianski Bazaar gathered to draw their position in the two nights of this years contest. Twenty of the twenty one singers made it to the draw, with Erik Mkrtchyan from Armenia unable to attend the draw.

Each participant was called up at random be given a certificate for taking part in the contest. A seal was then placed on the certificate, with the running order number for the first night being part of the seal. To decide the running order for the second night, each singer was called up at random to to pick a plaque from a tree, each plaque was numbered one to twenty one.

The running order for the first night of the competition tonight is as follows:

Slavianski Bazaar has been held annually in Vitebsk, Belarus since 1992. The event consists of two competitive contests, the International Pop Song Performers Contest for singers age 18 to 31, and the Children’s Contest for those age between 7 and 12. The competition is popular in the former Soviet Union, Baltic States and the Balkans. Winners include Ruslana, Zeljko Joksimovic, Donny Montell and Alyona Lanskaya. The Children’s Contest has been held since 2003 and former winners include singers who have gone on to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This includes former winner Ksenia Sitnik who won for Belarus in 2005.
