It has been confirmed that Slavianski Bazaar 2018 in Vitebsk will be held between the 14th of July and 18th of July.
The official rules for Slavianski Bazaar 2018 have been released, confirming that next years contest will be held between the 14th and 18th of July, in the city of Vitebsk, Belarus. The rules confirm that once again the International Pop Song Performers Contest and the Children’s Contest will be held, with singers from across the world invited to take part in the competition.
To date no countries have officially confirmed their participation in next years contest. It is expected that national selection rounds will begin at the end of November and continue onwards into the Spring of 2018.
In 2017 the following countries held national selection processes:

Of note is that while Romania and the Czech Republic held selection processes for the competition, their selected singers were not among the twenty-one singers selected to participate in the semi-final stages of either contest.

Slavianski Bazaar has been held annually in Vibetsk, Belarus since 1992. The event consists of two competitive contests, the International Pop Song Performers Contest for singers age 18 to 31, and the Children’s Contest for those age between 7 and 12. The competition is popular in the former Soviet Union, Baltic States and the Balkans. Winners include Ruslana, Zeljko Joksimovic, Donny Montell and Alyona Lanskaya. The Children’s Contest has been held since 2003 and former winners include singers who have gone on to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This includes former winner Ksenia Sitnik who won for Belarus in 2005.
