Lofti Bouchnak has replaced Olfa Ben Romdhane as the Tunisian participant in the ABU TV Song Festival 2016 in Bali, Indonesia.

Lotfi, began his career in the 1970s in Tunisia, where he was part of “Tunisian Youth music”. He practiced singing under the guidance of Ali Sriti. Lofti is both a composer and a singer and is renowned across North Africa and the Middle East for his voice, style and stage presence, since 1992 he has regularly sold out concerts across the region. In 1997 Lofti Bouchnak was awarded the prize for Best Arab Singer.

The announcement of Lofti Bouchnak replacing Olfa Ben Romdhane is the second time that a singer at this years festival has been replaced. Naran earlier this week replaced SweetYmotion as the Mongolian participant at this years event in Bali.

A total of 14 countries have now are confirmed as participating in the 5th ABU TV Song Festival on October 22 in Bali, Indonesia. Mongolia and Tunisia will be debuting in this years festival, while China, Sri Lanka and Thailand are all returning to the event. Withdrawing from the ABU TV Song Festival are India, Malaysia and Turkey.
