Dr. Eurovision who is part of the German delegation at the Turkvizyon Song Contest has revealed some of the more interesting sides to the organisation of this years Turkvizyon Song Contest.
In his full post of Eurovision.de he reveals that it was only 3 months ago that Turkmenistan told the organisers of the contest that they would not be able to hold the contest in either Merv or Ashgabat. It was also explained that a number of the artists who were due to be representing 11 regions of Russia in the contest this Saturday only found out that they would not be competing when they made it to Istanbul. The artists were said to have been queuing at Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul when they were told that they would not be participating.
Furthermore during Germany’s rehearsals yesterday the stage was still being constructed. Derya who is representing Germany was able to get a feel of how the performance would work on stage but the delegation was not able to see how it would look with the graphics behind.
