Final To Be Held In Cardiff

The final of Can i Gymru (Song For Wales) 2016 is to be held in the Welsh Capital, Cardiff.

The show which has been held since the 1960s is an annual competition to find the best Welsh language song which will go on to represent Wales at the Pan Celtic Song Contest. The 2016 show is scheduled to be held in March with Elin Fflur and Trystan Elis-Morris presenting. A total of 8 songs will compete in the show which is getting some changes for 2016, the first being the public now having a 100% say in the winner, and the first prize money increasing to £5000.

The final will be held in March and will be broadcast live on S4C, submissions close for the contest on November 20.
