This November, the ABU TV Song Festival 2022 will be held in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
The host city for the 11th edition of the ABU TV Song Festival has been announced as New Delhi, as the event is set to return to an in-person show for the first time since 2019. Prasar Bharati will be the host broadcaster of the event in the Indian capital.
The ABU TV Song Festival has been held annually since its inaugural edition in Seoul, South Korea in 2012. During that time artists from just under thirty countries have taken part in the event. For the past two years, the event has been held virtually in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
India has participated in the ABU TV Song Festival annually since 2015 and has sent an array of styles and singers to the event including world-renowned A. R. Rahman. This is not the first time that Prasar Bharati will be hosting an ABU event, in 2017 and 2019 they hosted the ABU International Dance Festival, with the 2019 event also being held in New Delhi.
The exact date of the show has not yet been announced, however, it is likely to be held between November 25 and 28, ahead of the General Assembly of the ABU which is held on November 29 and 30.
